Objectives

  • To bring out the hidden mathematical talents of the student teachers.
  • To promote interest in mathematics among the student teachers.
  • To provide a platform for discussing new methods of learning and teaching mathematics.
  • To provide the student teachers an opportunity to free discussion.
  • High IQ student teachers get an opportunity to satisfy their needs and interests by actively participating in the activities of clubs and associations.
  • To provide an opportunity to listen to some well known and distinguished mathematicians.

    Activities (2018-2019)

    National Mathematics Day Celebration

    The programme started with our college prayer song. Ms.J.Esther joy (B.Ed. II year) delivered the welcome address. Dr.T.Kanagaraj, Principal, gave the presidential address. Dr.G.Rajadhurai, Asst. Prof of History, delivered the guest lecture on the topic “INDIAN MATHEMATICS”. Mr.M.Muthu (B.Ed II Year) gave speech on “National Mathematics Day”. “Mathematical Rhythm” was given by Dr.S.Premalatha , Asso.Prof of Education. Mr.N.Mohamed Umar Farook, Mr.M.AbubakkerSithick, Mr.G.Ventatesh (B.Ed I Year) presented videos on “Math is everywhere”. Biographical memories of Ramanujam was given by Ms.M.Maria Shonija (B.Ed I Year). Debate on topic “Is Mathematics difficult because of its Syllabus or its Teacher” was organised and participated by both I Year and II-year mathematics students. Interesting facts was shown by Ms.L.Mariselvi, Ms.P.Vijayaprabha, Ms.A.Priyadharsini, Ms.R.Meghala B.Ed II Year. Mr.I.Gnana Selvam Jude (B.Ed I Year) proposed vote of thanks. Mr.M.Ajith Kumar and Mr.R.Muthu Kumar of B.Ed I Year served the Masters of Ceremony. The programme ended with National Anthem. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr.J.Josephine Saleth Mary, Dr.S.Usha Parvathi and Ms.S.Davasuba.

    Activities (2017-2018)

    MATHEMATICS CLUB

    Mathematics club of our college conducted a special lecture on 17.03.2018 at college auditorium between 11.30 to 12.45p.m.The programme started with college prayer song. Mr.R.Maria albin leon of B.Ed I year welcomed the gathering. Dr.T.Kanakaraj, The Principal gave the felicitation. Dr.S.Prema Latha, Asso.Prof of Education was the Resource person. She delivered the lecture on the topic “I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU?!...”.Later on, Ms.Vijayapraba, Ms. Snowba of B.Ed I year and Mr.K.Kanakaraj of B.Ed II year gave a power point presentation. Mr. Muthu and Mr.Jebamalai selvan of B.Ed I year were the masters of the ceremony. Ms.S.Valli of B.Ed II year gave vote of thanks. Dr.J.Josephine Saleth Mary, Asso.Prof of Mathematics Co-ordinated the programme along with Dr.S.Usha Parvathi and Dr.S.Davasuba, Asst.Profs of Mathematics. The Programme ended with National anthem.
