About

Tamil Literary Association was inaugurated in the year 2008. ‘MuthamizhVizha’ – (Tri Tamil Festival) has been celebrated every year. The competition emphasizing speech, dance and music are conducted to highlight culture and traditions of the state and language. Essay Competitions, Elocution and Painting Competition were conducted for the students on the importance of mother tongue.

OBJECTIVES

  • Provide a forum to maintain and share the Tamil culture and heritage.
  • Educate culture and heritage to the younger generation
  • Interact with other communities with a view to promote unity.
  • Cultivate and promote tamil culture and friendship by organizing various activities.

    Activities

    OBridge course on communicative skills has been conducted in the college every year. The department of Tamil, during this course, oriented the student teachers of all departments on public speaking and developed their writing skills.

    Report (2018-2019)

    Recently in our college, World Mother Language day was celebrated. Various competitions was held on February 23.02.2019. This programme was organized by Assistant Professor C.Girija on behalf of Tamil Department. Welcome address was given by Ms.DivyaBharathi Student from Tamil department. Presidential address was given by our principal Dr.T.Kanakaraj. Felicitation was offered by Dr.S.RasulMohaideen. The programme ended with vote of thanks given by Ms.JosphineSheela, student teacher from Tamil department.
