The basic knowledge of the world in which we live is undergoing an explosive change as a direct result of the breakthroughs in all scientific fields. Because of this increased importance of science and technology in our times, an understanding of the fundamental principles underlying physical sciences is essential for all students. With this prime motive we gear the student teachers to teach science in multitalented approach (cognitive, affective and psychomotor talents) for all round development of the school children by utilizing the real world application. This approach is emphasized because it follows more closely the investigative patterns of science which excites children more than some other methods.
Physical science department was established in our college in 1956. Our department aims at imparting quality education in physical science teaching methodology. Physical Science is one of the fields of knowledge that underlies the physical universe and applies constantly to people’s everyday lives. Physical science teaching develops scientific temper and encourages student teachers to innovate in diverse pedagogical techniques. Our department provides an excellent background for teaching careers. With a team of dedicated faculty and substantial infrastructural facilities, we march towards Excellence!!
