Dr.G.Vijayalakshmi presently working as College Librarian (Sl.Gr.) in V.O.C. College of Education. She joined as a Typist in March,1988. She has completed B.Sc. (Chemistry) and Technical qualification of typewriting English (Higher), Tamil (Higher) and Shorthand (Lower).

She obtained U.G. and P.G. Degree in the field of Library Science and promoted as a Librarian from 27th September,1993. She qualified M.Phil. in Education from V.O.C. College of Education. She did Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education Degree in Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi in the year 2001. She obtained M.A.(Psychology) in 2004 and M.Phil. in Library Science in 2008 through Annamalai University. She pursued her Ph.D. in Library Science at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.in the year 2013. She has attended several University, State, National level Seminars, Workshops and Conferences. She presented papers in seminars and contributed articles in the proceedings. She has successfully completed thirty one years of service in the esteemed institution of V.O.C.College of Education, Thoothukudi.
